The 'Best Bang For Your Buck' Tiny Home; The Summerā€™s Night Dream.
May 18, 2022The Best Value For Money Tiny House
No, it isn’t our smallest or our simplest floorplan! It is, however, a design-savvy, little piece of awesome that is designed to be uber functional & incorporates the most efficient ways to build.
Not only is this home super functional, but The Summer’s Night Dream is also the perfect tiny home for family vacations, cabins, Air BnB’s (revenue generation) or full-time living.
How do we know?
At Teacup, we have focused on more than just the pretty things and the building materials that go into a home. Yes we want it to look good, and yes we will use quality and functional building materials, BUT we focus on the psychology behind HOW people move through the space in their homes and more importantly, the WHY!
Because of this obsession about what makes people tick, this research has enabled us to create a tiny home that incorporates the most important elements for effective tiny home living!
So what are these parts and why do they make The Summer’s Night Dream so Awesome? Let us tell you!
1. Main floor bedroom:
2021 was the year of the lofts, however, we know that if you are looking to rent out your tiny home, a main floor bedroom is highly desirable. We have found that the perception around the main floor bedroom is that there is more room to move, but the reality is that the loft and main floor bed can be equally functional depending on how you live.
Keeping this in mind, the main floor bedroom checks an important box in the Summer’s Night Dream to cater to a larger variety of people and demographics. This is of course ideal if using it for a destination or revenue-generating.
2. The Galley Kitchen:
This kitchen has more cabinet space than it may appear, and the way we have designed it allows for an abundance of storage at an achievable price point. We also love the ample counter space and working surface. Have you ever tried to prepare a meal in an RV with little counter space? Ya! It sucks! That’s why we have made this kitchen have way more!
3. Size/Weight Ratio:
One of the most important reasons why this specific home is more cost-effective to build is because its size and weight allow us to build it on a double axel trailer (vs. a triple) This sweet spot in the design is very key. If we go bigger, the weight will push the build over the weight rating. If we go smaller, it would make a drastic difference in the living experience of the home.
Okay… we need to speak to a number 4. The upper loft over the kitchen is large enough for 2- twin mattresses, a queen or a king. Adding some simple shelves for privacy and storage can really make this area a place of its own. Not only is the upper loft the best view in the house, but the ladder is also off to one side to allow functional upper access.
Hang on, one more thing…. This tiny has a front entry closet too. Enough said. We do live in Canada after all, eh?
