The 2022 Lethbridge Home & Garden Show: Teacup Tiny Homes Will Be There, Will You?
May 17, 2022The world is back in business- or at least it’s getting there! Here at Teacup, we can’t wait to get out and interact with humans again! And this is one of many reasons we are excited to be exhibitors at this year’s Home & Garden Show in Lethbridge, Alberta! (Canada, for all our U.S. friends!)
It won’t be our first rodeo with this event, so let us tell you what we know. The event is four days long (March 30th - April 2nd), and thirteen thousand people are expected to attend! So what’s all the fuss about? All things home and garden. Literally. Whether you are interested in home renovation, sustainable living practices, landscaping, or current design and decor trends, this event has you covered!
So why are we, Teacup Tiny Homes, getting in on the action? So many reasons! For one thing, we believe that tiny houses have a lot to teach us about living sustainably. Simply put, they produce less waste. This is true in the building process and when it comes to maintaining the house over time. Tiny houses also use less energy and (usually) less water. Yup! No matter how you look at it, smaller spaces create a lower impact on the environment than larger ones, and we can’t wait to share more about these sustainability opportunities with the world.
So what else do tiny houses have to contribute to an event of this nature? Well, if you’ve been following this blog, you’ll know that I (Jen!) come from a background in design, so I can’t wait to participate in the design and décor aspect of the Home & Garden Show! And if you’re wondering what’s on-trend this year, I’ll just say this: I am happy to report that the season of all-white, sterile environments is over! And I look forward to sharing Teacup design elements that welcome you with warmth and texture.
Speaking of warmth and texture, have you been by our product gallery lately? There you will find floor plans and photos of all of our models. We like to think we specialize in spacious and cozy! Our website also has detailed information about the customization options available to you because we want your Teacup to feel like, well, yours. And once you’ve picked your features, just plug them into the build- your- estimate tool for even more fun!
OK, the website is great, but there is nothing like connecting in person. So, if you can join us this week, get ready because we will be bringing two Teacup models for you to explore!
Our Summer Night’s Dream model is one of our most popular options, and if you’ve been looking for an excuse to get inside and see it for yourself, the Home & Garden show is a prime opportunity! It’s one thing to see pictures of tiny houses, but it’s another thing to be physically inside one. We don’t want to give away too much, but the first thing out of most people’s mouths is this: it’s so much bigger than I thought!
Yes, we are definitely excited to share the Summer Night’s Dream with you, but we aren’t stopping there! We are also bringing a secret, custom tiny we’ve been working on! We’re keeping the details under wraps for now, but we’ll tell you this: her name is Petra.
So what happens if you come by the show, fall in love, and immediately need a Teacup tiny of your own? Well, this is your story, and you get to set the pace! If you like, you can book a time slot for an in-person meeting with our onboarding director, Shireen! Or if you were ready for your tiny journey to start yesterday, you can put down a deposit, and we’ll get your build going. Like.. right now.
Ahh, home shows! If you’ve never been to one, trust us when we tell you that the Lethbridge Home & Garden show is one you don’t want to miss. After all, it’s a chance for us to come together and evaluate how to live our very best lives. And shouldn’t living our best lives be what it’s all about? How often do we go through the motions of life on autopilot? It’s so easy to do! Here at Teacup, we aim to be the resource that helps you break free. We want to empower you to question the narrative so that you can radically embrace your most authentic life.
So how do you do that? Well, at Teacup, we believe that process starts by asking yourself who you are when you strip away all of the things society tells you you’re “supposed” to be. What interested you as a child that has been covered up along the way? What sparks your interest as an adult that gets pushed to the side because it’s ‘impractical’ or ‘frivolous?’
We don’t know who needs to hear this, but those little bits and pieces, those hobbies or interests or objects that spark joy, are not frivolous. In fact, our team at Teacup truly believes that those pieces are the seeds that will lead you back to your authenticity. Oh, and we also believe authenticity is where we truly begin living.
Have you ever met a tiny house owner? If you have, you may have noticed that they are a little bit different. There is a radiance around them, a vibration that didn’t exist before they brought a tiny house into their lives. It’s a transformation that our team at Teacup lives for. Watching a new owner step into their tiny for the first time is one of the most magical things we’ve ever seen. We know you won’t quite believe it until you experience it for yourself, but trust us, it’s like watching someone step out of their former skin and into the most radiant version of themselves.
We could talk about tiny house magic all day long, but we must be getting packed up to go! If you’d like to join us this week, you can find the Home & Garden show tickets here. If you can’t make it this time, definitely make sure you follow us on Instagram, so you can take a peek virtually! Oh, and those one-on-one chats with Shireen, you can do those virtually as well. Just book a Discovery Call, and she’ll answer all of your questions. However it happens, we hope to talk with you soon. Your #LittlePieceOfAwesome is waiting. ;)
