Transcript of the above video:

LORRAINE:
Oh, you know!

JEN:
All right, are you ready? Are you ready to see your home?

LORRAINE:
Yes, yes, yes!

JEN:
Okay, we have an air compressor on and some music. Both of which things shall turn off sooner or later. Two - one - there she is!

LORRAINE:
There she is! Looking all pretty, this is nice!

LORRAINE:
Why did I choose Teacup? You know what, I chose them for a few factors. They came in around the price point that I wanted, and that's not to say they were the cheapest, they weren't, but I loved the builds process. I loved that they were concerned that they were delivering a product with integrity.

JEN:
That's amazing, yeah, it's the Teacup difference Lorraine, it’s the Teacup difference! We try and think of everything!

LORRAINE:
I keep telling people about the Teacup difference.
I work in the RV industry. I see a lot of stuff that is built from the start.. faulty and everything that I've seen from the Teacup team has been above. Like they just seem to go above and beyond and the Teacup Academy, honestly I feel like that gives owners so much confidence. It gives me confidence.

SHIREEN:
I'm just going to share a screen with you, which is our project management software. That's where you'll get your updates as you go through the build.

LORRAINE:
They give you all the tools, so you're not left hanging wondering like, what the heck do I do now?

SHIREEN:
He’s going to share with you the proposal we've put together, so we'll go through it item by item.

LORRAINE:
Pretty much it's a huge worry off my shoulders.

JEN:
And we're going to take some notes, we're going to do a quick walk through.

LORRAINE:
Knowing that I can just go to the website, go onto the Teacup Academy and find out what I need to know.

The scariest part was taking the leap and trusting in myself that this was the right decision. And not looking backwards, just knowing that sometimes when life throws you these opportunities you just have to jump in and go forward and swim through it. Knowing that what’s ahead is going to be pretty damn wonderful!

JEN:
Surprise, sneak peek! Tyler's been working away putting your T and G on. Oh my gosh, he is clean, holy, look at that! Wow there's your lofts, so you have lots of head up there. Did you see your, your cabinet drawings there?

LORRAINE:
I did!

JEN:
Okay, good! So here's where your stove's going and this is where your sink's going here.

LORRAINE:
Now that I've jumped in, I feel a little bit intimidated, a little bit scared, but honestly, I'm so excited to start this process and to start living life.

JEN:
Here’s the ladder and here's the side that has the board on it.

LORRAINE:
Shut the front door!
It's actually been fun working with the team just going through the zoom process

JEN:
The goal is to have her outside on Wednesday, so we'll cross our fingers with that.

LORRAINE:
Talking with Jen and Ryan over Zoom, it's been a good time. They make it easy it's not as intimidating as I thought. I’ve built a home before and I gotta say this was a lot more fun. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who's teetering on the fence. You're not sure? Just do it, it's good!

JEN:
I mean the walkthrough doesn't take long Lorraine! If you think of anything else you can just shoot us a message, I'll let everyone get back to work. If you have questions, let me know, we'll stay in touch! Shireen is at your service.

LORRAINE:
Definitely less cleaning, more time to do things, definitely more time! Yes, I'm signed up for ukulele lessons next week and choir so I've got time for that which is something I never thought I would do. It's easier to connect with nature, go for a drive, go on a photo hunt.

JEN:
Do you think that when you decided that you wanted a tiny home, how you thought life would be? When you started do you feel like you've achieved that?

LORRAINE:
I think it's honestly like this weight was lifted where I don't have to worry about all these extras. Like I don't have a big fridge, I shop for what I need, and not a lot of extras. I can't go to Costco. Obviously you have to be more intentional even your grocery shopping. I love that you already you had already so many systems in place, that when you explain them and you talked about it on Instagram or on Facebook it was like - that makes sense. And when I talked with other builders about doing the same as what you were doing it became an oxymoron like - why would I not just go with Teacup? You’re already doing these things!

I work for my own company it's called Dynamic Pro Works and I go into the RV dealerships and I repair the floors, countertops, etc so we repair all of that. It's comforting to know that everything's working, I'm not going to be freaking out about my heat. I know my water is going to be working.I think with Shireen, she made it so easy right, having those weekly updates was reassuring. I get my photos today, but it makes it fun because then you can actually see where you are in the build process. I followed a bunch of hashtags on Instagram and I read things like tiny house problems. I'd follow that try and source who the Builder was and then choose not to go with them

JEN:
If you do it all over again, would you choose Teacup?

LORRAINE:
Oh my gosh, yes! Yeah it wouldn't even be a hesitation. Now that I know what I know in like, even how everything's functioning around the house and how it all works and living in it for the past what five months.

JEN:
Well, I think we can learn so much through you, and I have learned so much through you.

LORRAINE:
It’s apples and oranges in my opinion, you know like from everything that I've learned. I love it, I'm glad I'm part of this community.
