A Little Piece of Awesome - What Sets Teacup Apart From the Rest
May 18, 2022What Sets Teacup Apart From the Rest?
A tiny home or cottage might be small, but purchasing one is still a big decision. Here at Teacup, we know that you have choices, and we want you to be confident in the route you take when you go tiny. That's why today, we've decided to share a bit about our company mindset as well as some customer reviews (!) to give you an idea of what sets us apart from other tiny home builders.
We'll start by telling you where we started: with people.
If you spend enough time in the tiny house world, you will come upon the following sentiment in one form or another: people and experiences over things.
While it's true that every person who comes to the tiny house movement has their own variation of what it means to go tiny, we find that people and experiences over things is a pretty universally agreed-upon sentiment to describe the tiny house experience.
Why We Stand Out
When we founded Teacup, this was one of our core beliefs. Yes, we wanted to build great spaces, but we recognized from the beginning that great houses weren't going to happen unless we first put our focus on people- both on our customers and on our team.
When it comes to our customers, first and foremost, we want you to know that you are not a number in our build queue, but a real, live person with a backstory. We know that you have a busy life with responsibilities and obligations, and that's literally why we build tinys- to help you disconnect from the grind and reconnect with each other. Here at Teacup, we want you to start experiencing that feeling of relaxation from the very first point of contact. From the building process to the delivery of your cottage, we want you to know that you are being heard and cared for every step of the way. What about after? You ask. Please don't be silly; when you choose Teacup, you're with us for life! Call on us any time.
Communication with our Clients
Speaking of calling, if there was one thing we're proud of here at Teacup, it's our track record of being excellent communicators! In fact, it's a piece of feedback that we get repeatedly in our reviews. So you don't have to take our word for it! Here it is in the words of one of our customers:
Absolutely the best communication I've experienced with a tiny home builder, be it emails or phone calls…
And the rest of it
…not to mention the superior concern for quality and livability.
In addition to communication, our team at Teacup is thrilled to know that our efforts to provide you with a high-quality product are being noticed. When spending time in a tiny home or cottage, we know that you are closer to the details than you would be in a regular-sized living space. This proximity to the details is something that people often don't think about when choosing to go tiny, but it's so important! Of course, you want a great sink wherever you happen to be, but when you are in a small space, you will be looking at, interacting with, and experiencing that sink on a whole other level.
Here at Teacup, we see this knowledge as a responsibility. We know the ins and outs of small spaces, and we want you to know that you are in good hands. This is not just a nice sentiment, but rather something we take concrete action on. Case in point: heated floors.
If you follow the tiny home movement online, chances are you've heard horror stories of tiny houses with frozen pipes, burst water heaters, and freezing floors. Now, any seasoned tiny house builder knows that an in-floor heat system will go a long way in mitigating cold-climate issues, but unfortunately, they sometimes downplay the benefits in order to make a sale.
Our team at Teacup knows that in-floor heat comes with a cost, but we are so dedicated to your long-term happiness that we no longer do all-season builds without it. Our experience in tiny house construction has proven that heated floors are worth the money, and we are here to use our expertise and experience to protect your wellbeing.
Our Experience
So how did we earn our experience? Well, in a lot of ways. First of all, we have committed ourselves to continually learning and updating our best practices as we go. Our willingness to keep improving ensures that we grow with the tiny home movement and are able to offer you cutting-edge designs backed by experience. Second, we have dedicated ourselves to the art of listening. Asking for feedback is a cornerstone of the way we operate here at Teacup, and that makes us confident in our ability to deliver the tiny house of your dreams. For example, we recently had a client request a custom, removable roof awning, and it turned out so great, we know we'll be using it in future builds! Third, we have spent a lot of time with our designs. Do you see those high windows in our Piper model? We put those in because we know they bring daylight into a tiny like nobody's business!
So there you have it! Teacup Tiny Homes is a company built on putting people first. We pride ourselves on having excellent communication skills and are receptive to feedback. As a company, we stand dedicated to continued learning and are not afraid to flex our experience in the name of your long-term happiness. Our past clients have vouched for the quality of our craftsmanship, and as far as design, well, we'd like to think that speaks for itself: you can check our design gallery here.
We could talk all day long about the things that set us apart and what our customers have said, but we know that only goes so far. That's why we encourage you to explore our brand for yourself. After all, we'd prefer to show you rather than tell you who we are!
Our team at Teacup also wants to know who you are too! What do you envision for your future? What's pulling you toward a tiny? And how can we assist you in bringing your dreams to fruition? My name is Jen. I'm the owner here at Teacup, and when you're ready to share, my team and I are listening.
Is it time to invite tiny house magic into your life? If so, you can find us here.
Until then,
-Jen
