A Teacup Message of Gratitude

Oct 04, 2023

I've been thinking a lot about gratitude lately, and I wanted to take a moment to share my heartfelt thanks with all of you. I'm Jen, the owner and founder of Teacup Tiny Homes, and I'm thrilled to connect with you, whether we've met formally or not.

Let's start from the beginning, shall we? Back in the day, I was on maternity leave, just lounging on the couch, and HGTV happened to be on. That's when the tiny home inspiration hit me like a ton of bricks. I was working in the traditional home building industry at the time, but there was something about those cozy, intentional spaces on TV that sparked my imagination. Those words, "intentional" and "authentic," kept popping up in my mind, and they've been closely associated with Teacup ever since.

So, to all you Teacup Owners out there, I want to give a big shoutout and a heartfelt thank you! You trusted us to build not just a house, but a home, a retreat, a place of abundance, and we're honored to be part of your journey. Whether your tiny home is in Canada or the United States, know that you've left a lasting impression in our hearts.

My dream has always been about creating spaces that bring people closer together. I realized that tiny homes could take that dream to a whole new level while sitting on that couch watching HGTV. And here's the fun part—five people in my circle told me they could see me building tiny homes! So, to my Friends and Family, whether you were the ones who saw it coming or just supported me along the way, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dear Team, you're amazing! Your trust in me and your dedication to Teacup Tiny Homes have helped us carve out a name in this thriving movement. I'm truly grateful for your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and the unique skills you bring to the table. Together, we've accomplished so much, and I can't wait to see where we'll go from here.

Now, let's talk about the tiny home movement—it's booming! Some say it's going to be worth over 3.5 billion dollars by 2026. But honestly, that's not why I'm in this game.

I build tiny homes because I'm tired of seeing people struggle to afford real estate. I'm passionate about designing spaces that encourage folks to let go of the excess and focus on what truly matters—experiences and relationships. I want to give people the choice to live in small, incredibly functional, and beautiful spaces. They say, "Be the change you want to see," and I want to see people taking charge of their future. So, I build them houses that fit the bill. And guess what? I'm not the only one on this mission!

To all you Industry Collaborators, thank you! Whether you're fellow tiny home builders, product wizards, or logistical geniuses for small-space living, I see you and appreciate you. It's incredible how many of us are sharing ideas, referring business, and going the extra mile to ensure our clients succeed. You make me better at what I do, and I'm proud to be part of this amazing team.

To all the Tiny Home Enthusiasts out there, even though we haven't met, I feel your enthusiasm every single day. Your passion, your questions, and your presence in the tiny home community inspire me. Your comments in forums, on Instagram, and your turnout at tiny home events remind me that simplicity and persistence can make a world of difference.

But this journey isn't just about the past and the present; it's also about the future. Dear Future Teacup Owner, whether you've booked a discovery call today or your dreams are set for the next decade, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to you. Your interest and enthusiasm mean the world to me—I appreciate you.

Thank you for taking the time to read this blog, for following us on Instagram, and for getting to know us here at Teacup Tiny Homes. Perhaps your tiny house will become a cozy vacation cottage, your forever home, a place to start, a source of rental income, an artist's retreat, or a haven that keeps family close by. The beauty of tiny houses lies in their incredible versatility, and I can't wait to help you bring your unique vision to life.

Now, as I wrap up this up, please know that I'm genuinely grateful for your interest and support from near and far. I couldn't have embarked on this incredible journey without each and every one of you.

And here's a little secret: When you're ready, there's a Teacup tiny home with your name on it, just waiting for you to step inside and start your own amazing journey.

So, here's to the past, the present, and the future—a future filled with tiny homes and big dreams. Thank you for being part of this extraordinary adventure, and I can't wait to see where it takes us next.

Until next time,
-Jen
